Test Results of Our Thread Performance Assessments
The ATF Applications Lab evaluated the performance of a DELTA PT® for the range of our materials listed on the right. We hope you will find the data useful as you design bosses and evaluate appropriate fiberglass reinforced polyamide (PA 66) or polypropylene compounds with glass or mineral reinforcement.
The testing on our materials includes:
- Drive and strip, pull-out, repeat assembly, and clamp load tests
- Break-loose and strip to drive torque
- Thread engagement
- Tightening torque according to Bayer recommendation and the arithmetic mean between the maximum driving torque and the minimum stripping torque
